Hi,
I'm quite new to paypal, Right now I'm doing my second only purchase through paypal.
What I'd like to know is this:
I have to transfer money from my bankaccount to my paypal account. This can take like three four days. I wonder if this is how you do it too, or if you guys are using some other paypal-bank-credit card-connection which is faster? I see people buying on the swapmeet saying "paypal sent" at once. Or do you keep dance money in your paypal all the time?
I apologize if asking about your money is too personal. I just feel a bit frustrated about making sellers wait for their money.
Thanks
Gisela

Re: Paypal question
My paypal is set up to draw funds direct from my bank account, I think it took a few days confirmation time to set it up first time around. You can also add a credit or debit card as a funding source and not have to wait....

Re: Paypal question
I sometimes have $$ in my paypal account, but usually not (because I buy more than I sell). I don't feel bad making sellers wait for their money to transfer from my checking to my paypal account; if I mailed a check or money order, they'd be waiting anyway, wouldn't they?
I understand if someone states in their listing that they have a desperate need for money, and must have immediate paypal funding in their account. I just won't buy from them, if I don't have immediate funds to cover it.
I've only ever had one person give me a hard time about the usual 2/3 day wait time for paypal to clear, and that person also misrepresented their item in their listing, insisted that I pay by "gift", took more than two weeks to ship (blamed her boyfriend for it), and then refused to deal with the damaged/inaccurately described situation (except by insulting me and saying that "maybe I can refund in the future, I have no money now" - well hell, she'd HAD my money for 3 weeks by then!! and of course she never refunded anything).
I used to have my check card hooked up to paypal like a credit card, but I don't anymore, because the hassle isn't worth it. I'm patient enough to wait a few days for shipping; I don't want to deal with people who aren't patient enough to wait a few days for payment.

Re: Paypal question
I would rather have the funds take 3-4 days to transfer from the bank than to pay interest on cc charges later on.

Re: Paypal question
Thanks for the replys! It's good to know I am not the only one then. I think I am frustrated because the first time I bought something, I had to first wait for the account to be verified and then wait for the money to transfer, and this time I made a mistake when I transferred money so the money came back to my bank after a few days and I had to do it all over. Luckily I have been dealing with very nice and patient ladies.
I am jinxed when it comes to bank stuff or filling out forms
Something always go wrong.
