Can someone please post a refresher on----which color envelope means you've read a post----and what all the forum indicators(or tools) are? i've forgotten and i can't find it on here.

It has something to do with how "hot" the threads are rated. The red envelopes are more active than the gray/blue ones. When I tried to search "hot thread" on Bhuz from Google, the links themselves were useless, but it coughed up something about "Hot thread with unread posts; More than 40 replies or 200 views: Hot thread with no unread posts; Closed Thread: Thread is closed; Thread Contains a Message ..."

Okay, so I think that means "red envelope" is "more than 40 replies or 200 views." Maybe the envelope closes after some amount of inactivity? I can find both red and gray/blue closed envelopes, so it doesn't look like the red ones turn blue when they "cool off." The little green circle with the arrow indicates whether you've posted in that thread, though.

By Jove, I think you've got it! Now that I know what to look for, I see that a thread with 195 views has a blue envelope, and a post with 235 views has a red one. So, I think you're right about 200 views being the threshold.

A grey envelope seems to indicate no views, although even when I viewed such a thread, it still showed up as having no views afterward, so I'm not sure what's up with that.

Edited to add--I just saw a thread listed as having 0 views but with a blue envelope. So, now I'm really not sure about the grey ones.
