Re: Travelling to Morocco
Nice to meet you ,RedSarah. For living at the other side of the world,Puerto Rico,i consider myself quite a frequent traveller to Morocco, too, having visited there 4 or 5 times.
My all time favorite exotic city in the world is precisely Marrakesh.Your nick,RedSarah, makes me think of the way Marrakesh is known:the Red City.
Will be glad to exchange thoughts about the country with you.By the way, would like to return soon again.

Re: Travelling to Morocco
Hi
How convenient! I was about to post asking about Morocco. I am going to Marrakech and Essouira. I'll only be there a week but any advice on good places to see bellydancing or good places to buy music? Also, I would like to get some nice jewelery and I hear Essouira is good for that - any more specific suggestions?

Re: Travelling to Morocco
I'll be there in 2 weeks. Only have 3 days in Marrakesh, the rest in and around Tetouan and Chefchaouen.
Any suggestions on where to stay in Marrakesh? I have my Lonely Planet guidebook, but would appreciate any tips on places not covered in the book. I'm thinking Dar Tha Tha in the medina -- ever been?

Re: Travelling to Morocco
I would definetly suggest you to stay in a riad. There is one for any budget.Once you stay in one you can never go back to a regular hohumm hotel anymore.
On my April 2005 stay in Marrakesh i booked on Riad Marrakech : hebergement marrakech , luxueux riad au maroc and it was like a dream come true.
Riad Marrakesh Riad Morocco Best Riad Marrakech Ryad Morocco
Riad Marrakech rental - riads villas and guest houses in marrakesh morocco
i love Marrakesh - Hotels, Riads, Restaurants of the Red city
Oopsss...the name of the riad i stayed in seemed it did not come out here. It`s the Bab Firdaus in the middle of the Marrakesh souk.Last edited by Sashy; 04-10-2008 at 08:02 AM.
