Meissoun--I know, but I'm not sure where to start with general tourism stuff (for my partner).

I usually go with Lonely Planet...unless anyone has a better suggestion.

I loved Rick Steve's Istanbul and Time Out Guide to Istanbul (reviews in the blog). Also eat at Şehzade Restaurant. It was soooooo good!
