You wear short sleeves, long sleeves, even abaya, does not matter it's all in your facial expressions. Expecially your eyes. For example, I found that when you look, lightly smile and then look away, it NEVER failed. Even it works in the United States, you don't even have to be in Egypt to do that.

I know it works on Arabian Gulf guys like a charm (probably would work on Egyptians too LOL). The other thing I found is that if you very familiar with the culture and can make an awesome joke that would make them laugh (nothing dirty, everything G-Rated), they become instantly attracted to you. However, you still have to maintain that mistery about you.

I know I kinda hijacked the thread here and turned it into dating column LOOOOL

IMO, shyness in most other countries would indicate amongst other things, morally-sound attitudes towards women. However, in the Gulf and other über-machista regions of the world, shyness seems to indicate "I like to put it in other places, but I'M NOT GAY!" or misogyny.

I'm so glad that you have met nice, shy Gulfies, the kind you bring home to Mom, don't ya know (Khaliji getting a pat on the head for two weeks without an honor killing, I mean, a job well done)
