Thread: Bellydancers in Limerick

Not exactly a land of dance, but I have to travel to Limerick Ireland next week for work. I was just wondering if there were any restaurants where I could go watch dancin' or if there are any cool bellydancer-type stores there.

BTW - when I was in Ireland, there were a couple of teachers but BD definitely seemed to be on the rise there.

I love the limerick you made - that's about as close as I may come to bellydance in Limerick, I suppose!

Wendy Marlett (Tribal ex FCBD) lives in Dublin. And I would think that is your only chance of stores and that's slim. There are lots of bellydancers there so search the net then.............

Yes, what about Bellydancing in Ireland. What is going on, where and with whom???? inquiring minds want to know!

The little town I was in that was just starting up classes with a local teacher was Westport. My friends said it was quite newsworthy as they didn't have such a thing there before! I cannot remember the name of the teacher though - but her flyer called it "Egyptian Dance." Apparently, belly dance was too scary (again, according to my friend).
