Thread: Cairo Apartment for a month

HELP ME PLEASE..cr.:

I need to find a place for me and my dearest to stay in Cairo for a month. We want something with some kind of kitchen.

I have a reliable, honest contact who has been finding apartments for me and my friends over the last several years. I'm sure he can help you too. If you're interested, let me know. I'll send you his email and telephone number so you can contact him directly. He speaks English very well.

When are you going, where do you want to stay? e.g. close to downtown and the big hotels and their nightclubs and Egyptian Museum (archeological), close to the pyramids and pyramid street nightclubs? Any other requirements?

My friends and I stayed at Keti Sharif's apartment in Cairo (in Zamalek) last November. She rents it out to dancers. It's on the 22nd floor with awesome views, 2 bedrooms, kitchen, bath, washer/dryer, dining room and living room. It's in a nice neighborhood (where all the foreign embassy's are), has a nearby grocery store, bank, and restaurants. If you like walking, you could even walk to the Marriott Hotel where Randa performs and the Abu El Sid Egyptian Bar & Restaurant (it's a chain, but it's my favorite!). She's very responsive via email. She was very helpful with suggestions, contacts, etc.

If you're going for a month, it might be a good idea to get a mobile phone while you're there. It truly helps because you can't call mobile phones from landlines (without a special calling card).
