Thanks! It was my only condition when we moved back to Israel from the States 2.5 years ago. I wanted my own space! It was the first room painted when we got back, and the only room that has normal floor ..g.: I thought of every detail there, like flat light so that the veils don't catch up etc. It's my tiny private haven :)

hehe, mine has a flat light too!, but no mirrors yet sadly. it's a little bigger and am saving up! i have a proper sprung floor though, an absolute dream!

Cool! We're renting, so I didn't want to invest too much of our own money, thus the floor is laminated, which is still much better than the default stone tiles omnipresent in the old houses.

i bought a house a year ago, and that was one of my perequisites: a room of my own, to have a small home studio. so one of the bedrooms has been sacrificed. i've started teaching private classes in it, and have practice space whenever i want it. it's really a dream come through.

i'll pm or email you about january asap, starting to try and figure out flights/how long we can stay etc.

was going to email you after the crazees are over here (sold out event this weekend, ava fleming yihaaa)

we have only ONE night in tel aviv extra on the way over really, and we'd love to come and stay with you but i think it would be a lot of unnecessary extra hassle... we fly in there in the evening, and out again in the morning...

next time we need to plan this better in advance, including a stay. we now found the ultra cheap flight with NO extra days really and jumped on it . it's like a third of what i paid last year!!!

Some updates. In the past weeks we've been rehearing with Orit for two appearances on the Israeli music channel. The performances promote the Eilat festival and an Oriental dance competition that will be featured on the channel. The first dance is up online, the quality is not great, I hope to get a digital recording and post it later on.

No Eilat for me this year either alas :'( Should have extended my passport for at least six months to be able to fly to Tel Aviv today.. live and learn. Off to figure out what to do with my free time now

I'm still recovering from the festival, and feeling a bit empty and sad it it has ended. This year I've been more involved in the festival, performing with the troupe and solo, and hosting Alexej Ryaboshapka ( Read Artemisia's rave here!). One more year till the next craze *sigh* We will have to do with pics and videos for now...
