Thread: Bellydancers in Jordan

Someone posted earlier about wanting to see dancers while they were travelling in Jordan but I can't find the original post so I hope you see this. There are a few clips on YouTube of dancers performing at the Movenpick Hotel in Aqaba:

Hey Aziza - thanks for posting, very interesting.

So is this kind of set up representative of opportunities to dance/see dance in Jordan? The set up (the open air stage, the open air cafe, dancing to CD) reminds me of Sharm. For some reason, it struck me as odd that dancers would dance to CD when they must surely be able to find a musician or two - even a mediocre one! ..l;, I thought it was peraps just Sharm since it was purely tourist-oriented. Is Jordan similar then?
