5 Days and 5 Nights of Belly dancing to Live Egyptian Music plus… Sea, Snorkeling, Bedouin Tents and Egyptian Hospitality

Study and Perform belly dance to live music in the relaxed atmosphere of a camp on the seaside in Dahab, Egypt. (Sinai peninsula)

One price includes:
-22 hours of dance and music classes with Egyptian and Egyptian style master teachers and musicians (14 hours of this instruction to Live Music!)
-Lectures on Egyptian Folklore, Zar and oriental dance history
-Live Music dance party every night (bring your costume but leave your CD’s at home) All participants can sign up to dance with the orchestra. No extra cost.
-Performances by the instructors as well as a zar and tanoura
-A people’s choice dancer from the nightly parties will be asked to perform again on the last night
-Transport to and from Sharm el Sheik or Cairo to Dahab, Egypt
-Dahab style camp with private beach (AC, television, private bathroom, phone, double occupancy)
-Breakfast, Light Lunch and Dinner (Including one night Beduin Dinner Party). Alcoholic beverages available but not included
-All classes and evening parties held in a Beduin tent on the beach

We have created a small scale dance and music camp to give dancers the opportunity to study with world class dancers and musicians, perform in a non-competitive atmosphere, work closely with an Egyptian orchestra and make connections with artists from around the world. A month before the camp, Shoo Shoo became very ill with heart problems so we brought in Azza Sharif instead. That is why the article has Azza pictures instead of Shoo Shoo.

Oh no, poor Shoo Shoo! Hope she makes a full recovery. I loved her show when we saw her.

I lived vicariously through the pictures - they were amazing and I loved the commentary. I hope someday I will have the opportunity to do something like again, when my son is older, maybe he'll go to summer camp and mommy will go to dance camp!

I can relate. It took 14 years before all my boys were off to camp and I could travel in the summer. A traveling dance career and children do not mix. You have to choose. I don't regret my choice for a second.
