Lightbulb Delilah's Adventures are a bit different

The last time I was in Egypt was in 2008. I figured it would be the last time. It was a major trek. I took my 2 daughters with me as a gift for graduation and major achievements. One took her boy friend and then their 2 cousins jumper on board. Ten students and their significant others and a few dancers from around the country.
There are my stories and amazing photos
Including dancing in the Great Pyramid
    Delilah's Egypt Tour Spring 2011.

I love to share stories. But I always feel like I need time to explain why my adventures are different than the usual programs people offer. My Hawaii Retreats have always been very thematic and creative. None have been the same. I teach people to belly dance but I also teach them to live more fully. How to play again.
I’ve led people in all of sorts of magical experiences they would never do on their own. I show them how to be in the moment rather than passively watch life move around them. I think this is the power in my dance that makes me unique.
When my dance is really on. Time changes for me, the band and my audience. We ride in a bubble traveling in sync with the flow of real time. That is why I’m a nut for live music.
However in another sense we can also time travel. YES! As we stay in the moment we realize door ways open up inside of us that take us to ancient callings. I really feel the wisdom of belly dance is ancient, don't you?

The thing that is different about my trips to Egypt is we strive to do dances in the temples! We, (not all of us, but those that feel like it) wear goddess gowns, jewelry, Pharaonic wigs and eye make up to the temple ruins. We bring them to life. Not just for our group but everyone around us. This includes the guards, guides and international tourists. We bring friends/ loved ones; that may not be dancers, but witness these special dances. We animate these ruins that are hungry for the sound of bells on dancers ankles.

I even rent the Great Pyramid for 2 hours so we can do what we want.
For instance we had a class in the side yard of Isis Temple on Philae with the afternoon Island breezes. We rocked out in Hathor's temple with drums and sistrum. Even the guards danced with us! I taught a dance in the Queens Chamber of the Great Pyramid. It was made up of all these different belly rolls and danced in a circle in 9 rounds in the chamber. The men took pictures and played frame drums. It was ecstatic.
My next Trip is Spring 2011 and dancers are already signing up.
“We” do a cabaret show while in Egypt to share with the Egyptians and internationals as well as go see shows. We’ll shop take classes with Popular belly dancers
My goals are visit 2 Egypt's at once.
Egypt Today and Ancient Egypt .
there’s more but I've run out of spa
