Thread: my little blog while I am in Egypt

It's nothing spectacular but just a little blog about what I'm doing in Egypt. I'm waiting on the Ahlan festival to begin but right now I'm experiencing some real egypt. I haven't posted photos because I can't understand my blog in arabic... ha ha ha.....so hopefully I can get photos up soon. I was in King of the Nile's shop today and his employee took photos of me up to my ears in lycra.....I just couldn't pick out a material for a costume! So many beads and material. What's a girl to do? Today I had a Melaya Leff custom made and I even got to watch them make it. What an interesting process. Especially the bra part. Tomorrow I will have costume made. The seamstress worked on the bra today and I had no idea how they made these! What a process! Those ladies are amazing at beading!

Ooh, I can't wait to read it. If I can't travel all over myself, i can live vicariously through everyone else's blogs!

I never got to work on my blog while in Egypt because I could never get the arabic to switch to english so I gave up. I started emailing everyone about the trip instead. BUT I am starting to work on photos and will be uploading pics and stories soon! But for now I must share a photo of a new costume I had made by King of the Nile!

I can't wait to photograph my other custom made costumes by King of the Nile! I actually got to watch the whole process of beading and everything. The ladies do such an amazing job at his costume shop!

Its great to see the pics and read this blog, Im off to a retreat in Bali next year and have also put holidays in and have been approved for a vist after that of Egypt, Jordan and Turkey, finishing off on Anzac day at Gallipoli. Theis sort of info is great to micro plan the trip somewhat, thanks
