I'm in the burbs about 15-20 minutes west of Elgin area. I have a gig Friday night but I will meet up with ya'll afterwards. :-)

There is a fashion show and belly dance show on Friday evening in Bartlett at Banbury Fair sponsored by The Closet Boutique. Many area dancers will be performing during the breaks in the fashion show: Mystic Rose Dancers, Christina King, Anisah, Amirah, Karen of Real Women Bellydance, Rasha Al Warda, Serpentfuze, Mara & Desdeomona, Ayune, and Heart of Hawaii Hula Co. It's a free show, outdoors, open to everyone! Show starts at 7 p.m. Complimentary nibbles and sips! And 30% off fashions at The Closet Boutique. Come on out and see us! (And if anyone wants to bring a costume and perform - just let me know! Always room for one more dancer!)

so Ladies - Howz about we support Donnadiva's event and then have a girlz night out after? Carmella and Alexandria are performing both Friday and Saturday nights in downtown Chicago from what I understand. I think it would be a blast to catch one of their shows. Maybe we could do something casual after Donna's event so we can rest for Sat. am. Hiptastic and then go out and whoop it up Saturday evening (show Elisheva a night on the town?)?

I have a gig Friday night so I can't make it to Donna's show. I can meet up with ya'll on Saturday night. Alexandria performs at Alhambra. The show is usually around 10pm. Reservations are advised.
Carmella performs at Turkish Cuisine and sometimes Cafe Arabia.
