Hi folks! I'm super pleased to announce our Grand Schedule for the 2011 Las Vegas Bellydance Intensive & Festival. We have such an amazing array of topics for you to choose from taught from an equally amazing array of instructors. We are also excited to have even more classroom space than last year.

Currently, the list of teachers and their topics are complete. We will be adding photos, bios, & class descriptions next. Mostly, this announcement is meant to whet your whistle. Whoot!

We are not opening a la carte class purchases at this time. We are in the final process of setting up our new SSL certificate, shopping cart, merchant account, and other upgrades to our system. We will open the opportunity to purchase individual classes once we've finished all the details and allowed our current full package holders the chance to choose their classes.

Our Pro-Show Audition form and our Festival Submission forms are now online.

Our Festival openings are mostly on a first-come, first-serve basis with some
consideration given to workshop participants and full package holders. The
festival takes place on Saturday, September 10th and Sunday, September 11th,
from 10:30am-5pm. THERE ARE NO EVENING PERFORMANCE TIMES FOR THE FESTIVAL.

Our Pro-Shows will take place on Friday September 9th & and Saturday September
10th. There is a very limited number of highly-coveted spots available.
Artists are selected through an online audition process. There is a selection
committee that chooses our performers based on a number of factors including
styles, diversity, and stage dynamics. Additionally, this year, we have a few
positions available for those who would love to dance to the live music of House
of Tarab.

We just got our very first registration from an attendee coming all the way from Argentina! So fun!

So I realized that even though our Pro-Show deadline is tomorrow, I will be out of town and won't really be able to look at them until after Easter. So your new audition submission deadline is really April 25th.

Here's a few of the latest bits and pieces of news:

• There are only 4 spots left in Delilah's American Classic Cabaret class on Thursday September 8th.
• We've just announced the judges for the "So, You Think You Can Belly Dance? Contest"--Princess Farhana, Ariellah, Frank Farinaro, Delilah, Jill Parker, Oreet will help choose our winner.
• Due to some happy, but unforseen circumstances, we need to change our line up in the pro-shows slightly. Jill Parker will now be dancing in the Saturday night show, and Ariellah will be performing in the Friday night show. If this affects your show ticket purchase, please contact Bart@bellydanceintensive.com in order to swap your show tickets.
• We have less than 40 tickets remaining to this year's "It's a Wrap! Cocktail Party & Hafla" on Sunday September 11th. This is probably my personal favorite night of the whole event. It's a great way to relax, have a cocktail, watch some dancing or dance yourself, and listen to some live music. There's food, a cash bar, and a whole lot of shakin' going on (thanks to a special appearance by Elvis & the showgirls).
• Event Program ads are due August 1st.
