Torremolinos ... we'll probably rent a car and visit the area. I'm sure I don't need anything bellydance (some rest would be nice, too!) but you never know there's a must-do, no?
It will be a good time to brush up on my Spanish as well, that sure has been a while...

What Artemisia said. There are soooo many attractions in Southern Spain you wont care for bdancing, really.By the way,i will be for one week in Granada arriving on April 7.Is one of the most beautiful Moorish flavored provinces in the South. You wont want to miss having some relax and tea at the hamman here, and they might have a bdance performance on Fridays or Sat evenings for patrons there. This part you will have to ask because it can be changed:

Arab Baths in Granada - Leisure accommodation in Granada - Granada Hammam

You will be thrilled just by walking around the old city centre of Granada and visiting the lovely Albayzin:

Monuments in Granada, Spain: El Barrio del Albaycin. Cultural tourism in Andalusia, Spain.

Besides the wide array of tapas bars on the vicinity of the Plaza Nueva at skirts of the Albayzin,if you want to experience the flavours of Moroccan cuisine right in the middle of this neighborhood step up the Cuesta Marañas cobbled streets and into Restaurant Arrayanes:

BIENVENIDOS AL RESTAURANTE ARRAYANES · WELCOME TO ARRAYANES RESTAURANT

torremolinos... aargh! (you will meet a lot of british tourists chris says, he hates it, it's the britisch equivalent to benidorm he says ;-)).
nah, i think it's fine for a lay back and relax holiday ;)

and beauty around in abundance. sevilla, cordoba, granada, ronda, cadiz...

it's actually one of the few places where i dont try to go and do any bellydance stuff, as i can easily fill my days visiting mosques, gardens, castles and palaces, churches, sit and sip wine on patio's..

    i want a holiday now!

Yup...Torremolinos is not exactly the best beach side part of Southern Spain.Having been there i would avoid it like the plague....sorry!
    It`s trash and kistch galore.

I already had that feeling, Sashy... We're not pool people anyway, want to do lots of stuff, so if we decide we don't like it there, there's lots of places to visit! Already looked into car rental and stuff so I'm not worrying too much.
