Thread: "Belly Dance Kingdom" - "Isis Wings" BIG disappiontment

"Belly Dance Kingdom" - ebay vendor: BIG disappointment here with this ebay vendor! I ordered and just received a pair of gold Isis Wings, which I bid on and won. I need these for an upcoming performance in 3 weeks. In the ebay description, it clearly states that the measurement from the neck down the wing, the length is 51.7 inches. It is in fact. 57.5". Now, what am I supposed to do? Send them back to Egypt? I have to roll the neckline up 4 times to get them to the length they should be at.

I sent seller an email complaining about the "mistated length" of these wings. He sends a rather nasty one back, blaming me can you believe? His argument is based on the premise of an "approximate size" of 51.7 inches...My argument is based on fact that "approximate size" does NOT mean a 5.8 inch difference, which is HUGE especially with wings.

Well, let's see what the "Paypal Resolution Centre" thinks about that one. I can't send the wings back, I'll lose half the cost of the total in shipping and besides, I've no time to do that. I've an upcoming performance and need them. My only alternative is alteration....at $25.00 cost. The paypal dispute is set for that amount...I've never lost a dispute yet....but this could be the first.

Thats not nice of them. They should have wrote the right measurements.

I'd like to point out that these people I know to be horrible horrible people...they also go by another Ebay ID...registered to Poland, and sell Isis Wings and custum made costumes...my experience comes from buying a costume from them....where when I got it, beading work had fallen off while in the box....it wasn't the design I had bought...and there was a grease stain on the inside of the skirt about a mans thimb size, which was clearly visible to the naked eye....she tried to say that it was done by customs, but it had not even been opened and I wasn't even charged customs duty...

would not reply to me after I while...when I opened Paypal dispute was VERY rude...rude enough to suggest the grease stain came from me not washing....and then threatening me that if I won the dispute that she would take me to court etc....needless to say I won the dispute but Paypal needed me to send it back to her registered Poland address...and then it said they could not even garuntee I would ever receive my money back...and I could not find a trackable service that didn't cost half of the orignal costume....
Well anyway...these people are a complete menace and abusive.

I've only worn that costume twice...and had to remove the hanging beadwork because they kept falling off whenever I moved...
