I recently ordered a costume from Neckelmann's and it arrived very quickly (it was one of their in-stocks, not a custom made). However, it was the wrong costume. It was a different style and a much smaller cup size (it's a B, the one I ordered was a D). Has anyone had this happen and how did you go about getting it rectified? I have emailed them twice with no response. My next step will be to call of course. I figured I'd ask here and see if I could get some idea of what to expect. I've ordered a costume from them before and it was a good experience overall. It's a shame really, the costume I received is gorgeous, even though it's the wrong one.

Well, I think I've figured out why I haven't heard back. I just read nazneen's post, and it seems like they sold her the costume I ordered. :( I guess I'll be offering up a never-worn costume on the swap soon.

Well, I called them and sure enough, the original costume I wanted is sold. She said they didn't have time to take it down as available...oddly enough it's still listed as available. o_O So, they are going to refund me the complete cost and the shipping costs. It seems instead of telling me it was sold, and giving me time to pick out something different and get it in time for this weekend, they tried sending me a totally different costume thinking I wouldn't notice.

I'm so sorry this happened to you. Seems like we both had bad experiences with them.
The first costume I ordered from them I was very pleased with. It arrived quickly and fit me to a T. That's why I decided to order another one. The two were like night & day though. The second costume was a disaster. Both the bra & belt were very floppy and offered no support. The belt was way too big and the tops of the bra cups were curling outward because there was no support to the bra for the bead work. The bra straps were also way too stretchy. And the "cough" necklace was a foamy piece of fabric cut in a circle with beads hanging down. It looked like a yoke! I emailed them immediately about it and call & spoke with someone too. I sent it back the very next day FedEx so I could track it. As soon as I knew it had been delivered I emailed them about it twice before I got a reply 02/26. They said they had sent me the wrong size. I emailed back telling them I wanted to exchange it for a different style (blue velvet one) and asked how the exchange thing worked. I never got any reply at all even though I emailed them again. The blue velvet costume just showed up on my doorstep 03/04. I emailed them to let them know it had arrived & still no reply.

Sariah, did the costume they send you look at all like what you ordered or was it a completely different style & everything?

The only thing that was similar about the two costumes was the color. The one they ended up sending me was one of those floppy styles like you mentioned. What irritates me is they weren't up front about it. She said they just hadn't had time to remove the costume from the website, but you know what...I checked yesterday and they still have it listed as available!!
I'm sending it back today and I already ordered something different from Dahlal. I love my first Neckelmanns...it's very supportive and so pretty, but their service is just too disorganized!

Make sure you send it with a tracking number!
I won't be ordering anything from them again either. They never did take down the silver costume or label it as sold when I ordered it. They really do seem to be very unorganized.
