I got an unsolicited email from a wholesaler (seem to be getting more and more unsolicited BD emails the more active I get in the forums on Bhuz). I normally ignore these, but I'm getting ready to make an order of hipscarves for my students and their prices seem good. I searched the forums to see if I could find any feedback on them and nothing popped up.

Has anyone done business with Rasul's? Their website is Belly Dancing Michigan | Online Shopping Michigan | Belly Hip Scarves Michigan | Belly Dance Ann Arbor | Online Women Shopping | Belly Dance Costumes Michigan | Online Handbag Stores Michigan | Belly Dancer Michigan |Online Jewelry Stores Ann Arbor |. Would love to know if their quality is ok.

I haven't done business with them, but according to their web site, they have a brick-and-mortar store at Briarwood Mall, and mall's web site confirms that the store does exist. Beyond that, I can't say. Sorry...

Thanks for letting me know that...I didn't catch that on their site. That actually makes me feel a little better. I may chance it with a small order to test the waters.

I am a little scared of what they call a professional costume.

I just ordered a batch of velvet hipscarves from them this morning. So far has been an extremely pleasant experience...they've been extremely quick about replying to messages and very helpful with answering questions. But now I've sent the payment so this is the true test. ..l;, We did the payment through paypal so that made me feel a little more secure.

Supposed to receive the scarves in 3 to 4 business days, so I'll let everyone know how it goes! Keep your fingers crossed for me!

Thus far having a totally fabulous experience.

They have responded to all of my emails within a few hours (usually within 1 hour) and have been very helpful. I got a little concerned this morning that I still hadn't recieved the shipment so I shot off an email asking for a status update. Within about a half hour I had an email back promising to look into it and get an update for me. About 10 minutes after that had another email with a tracking number letting me know that UPS says its on the truck. Very quick and concise replies. The customer service has been top notch thus far.

I should be able to report on the quality of scarves later today! Yay!

Just got the shipment and busted open the box. I'm not thrilled but I'm not disappointed either.

They are the thinner velvet scarves with the thinner coins on them. But they are the quality thinner scarves with thinner coins on them, if that makes sense. They look solidly constructed...I don't get the sense that they are going to fall apart quickly. The mix of colors they sent me was great...in fact I've already snaked a lovely teal one for myself from the box...so I'll dance in it at class tonight and see how it holds up. I probably wouldn't wear them for a professional gig (although if the color were a perfect match I probably would throw it on), but these are absolutely perfect for my students for class, haflas, etc or for myself for rehearsals and personal dance time.

So my verdict is that the customer service was totally outstanding...I was impressed with their level of communication. The quality wasn't quite what I was hoping for, but for what I paid I'm extremely happy with what I got.

All in all, I give the experience an A and plan on ordering from them again when I need to restock.
