Thread: eBay seller sparkling_queen? Any info?

Has anyone bought from these guys? They have basic bra belt sets for $89.99 that they import from Egypt. Any information would be appreciated and thanks for looking.

That's weird....there are quite a few things of theirs on eBay for sale. I found them when I put 'gold bra belt belly dance' in the search. Found alot of other stuff too...bleh.

A friend bought a bedlah from them. Basic, similar to Isis Exchange. Looked pretty solid though. :)

I bought a silver bra and belt XL... and I love it.
Here in Spain we don't have many xl costumes for bellydance, so I'm really happy with it!! Feel free to ask for photos.

I sure like their prices! Photos would be great if you have the time. : )

I've bought several costumes from them. They are well made basic egyptian bra and belt sets. They were shipped to me fairly quickly and I had no problems with the seller nor wth the merchandise.

I didn't see dancing4queen, but I saw sparkling4queen and I have purchased from them. I was very pleased. They have those basic sets, but the troupe one's we bought have really held together well. Good luck!

I have also purchased from them. They were certainly quick! About 7-8 days from Egypt! The set is quite sturdy but hard (base)...I am still working on the bra to pad it and make it fit though.

ok so that isn't dancing4queen, but sparklingqueen lol ahh the confusion. good to know they're sturdy tho, i'm thinking of getting a set later on

Wellllllll. The XL bra size is pretty accurate, that was exactly what I got. Most of the regular sized ones were about a B cup. And ONE of the regular sized ones was a definite A cup.....very small, even though they were all listed as being the same size. So they really vary. It wasn't a problem in my case though because I bought them for re-sale. But if you have a specific size in mind you might want to ask them before hand for the actual measurments of the cups. The belts were all pretty much the same size, I think about 39 or 40 inches.(?) So they could be made smalled if needed.

One member of my very first troupe bought one of these and the others bought from Isis Exchange. Based on that experience, I'd say Sparkling Queen is a slight step down in quality (both worksmanship and materials). The SQ one also had the hardest, most pointy-cupped bra and it was difficult to get it to fit on any of us -- I wouldn't even try it if you are above an average C-cup. For that price, though, it's a decent basic, but I'd recommend ordering big (you can always stuff).

I had ordered an XL because I am quite hippy. The belt is still a little too big (even though I adjusted it smaller) and the bra is waaaaay to big for my B cup size. My dance sister/friend also bought from them (about 2-3 sets in XL) and they fit her well. And as Nasila said, the bra is hard and somewhat pointy...even with padding I put in there, it's still quite rigid. Can't beat the price and fast delivery though.

Buy with confidence, I actually know the owner of the company, and stayed with him and his family (delightful wife - I adore her and 3 stunningly beautiful children) when in Egypt in January. He is a very nice man and very honest. He lives in Alexandria.

I have found all his costume items quite sturdy and well made. I haven't purchased belt/bra, but while in Egypt purchased a couple of gorgeous saiidi dresses and 2 friends purchased full costumes and love them. Have a number of coin belts from him.

I've never had a problem. Great starter costume for the price...you couldn't make one for that...thinking about adding crystals to the top of the bra cups and a v fringe across the front of the belt (where it is narrow).

Not top quality but the price is right for the quality. I found the cups to be a little small. I am a solid B and I was busting out everywhere. I used mine for one performance and it held up though I would not consider these "workhorses" but they are great for a "i need a special color now" costume.

The two bra/belts are from Sparkling_Queen, XL size.
We were very happy with them... If you are not looking for a very professional costume, the price and quality of this costumes are really good.

Looking at these fringey sets, and judging from what I'm reading in these posts I'd guess I need to get a size large. But they don't list a "large"; just XL and then everything smaller seems to be lumped under one size. So my question is have any of you bought the "one size" and been able to get it to fit? I know there was discussion above of hard and pointy cups, but for the price I might can live with that. ,r:; Just looking for more and current feedback, hopefully, on how they fit and last.

I have a tiny friend (32A bra, little bitty thing) so we're trying to figure how that one size is going to work for both her and my size 10 backside and 34D chest. I guess I could always order one and then let her check it out. I love the copper colored one and am thinking I could fancy it up with some olive and gold appliques and/or whatever.

My friend (and duet partner) bought the copper one...it is beautiful!!!

There's basically two sizes - regular and the XL (plus size). Each of the two sizes are adjustable to fit a bevy of sizes. I am on the ahem, "larger" size and ordered the XL but, it was waaay too big for me on top (I am basically a 36/38 B/C cup) and the belt seemed fine (maybe a little too big-I'm in the mid-40's hip range) until I wore the belt and it began slipping. Luckily, no costume malfunction I had sewn in extra padding for the top but still waaay too big. Plus, the shoulder straps were too long and I was planning on trying to make it a halter style (which I haven't finished doing).

My above-mentioned friend has bought several of these sets in various colors and for the price, it can't be beat. We were planning on buying the same colors in the regular and XL sizes so that we can mix/match the bra/belts, but I haven't bought any additional ones other than the silver one I purchased.

As far as long lasting...I can't really give you too many details since I have only worn the belt once or twice. I was surprised though to see beads falling off now and then but, I heard from a couple of seasoned dancers that that's kind of normal.

Like I mentioned, for the price, it may be worthwhile to order one and see if it's doable.

What size is your friend? I keep worrying that I am right in the middle between the sizes, that the bra on the smaller one is going to be too small but the larger set will swallow me, and something can be TOO large so it never looks right when you cut it down. But I suppose if I get one and it doesn't fit I can always sell it. Just hate to keep paying the mail service those high fees ,m:: to deliver more!

My friend is larger than me on top. I am more of a pear-shape; she's more of an apple. Since I am not "proportionally built," it does make it more of a challenge to find stuff that fits both top and bottom.

I managed to acquire one of these used, and I can tell you the cups on the smaller one do not fit my lingerie size 34Ds. Also even though the listing says the belts are 40+ inches, the fringe stops far short of the end so you really need to be on the smaller end of the belt size. I'm a US size 10-12, and based on my experience with the smaller one now I think I'd need the XL in this set.

I just bought a gold beaded bra & belt set ($99) from Sparkling Queen on ebay and it's beautiful. I had no problems communicating with the seller, they usually responded by the next day. I received the set within a week after I placed the order. I can't speak yet to the durability of the bra & belt set, but it appears well made and I just need it for a few performances so I'm not expecting miracles. If you do decide to order, I suggest contacting the seller in advance to make sure the bra comes in the cup size you want because the ad I responded to said the cup came in A/B/C...so I wasn't sure if the bra came in 3 different cup sizes or just fit up to a C cup. When I placed the order, I repeated the cup size again and received exactly what I requested.
This is a brief follow-up from my original post (response). I went to have the bra & belt altered to fit because I have smaller hips and a small rib cage. The alterations are going to run $40 and that includes converting the bra to a halter. I'm using both shoulder straps to make the halter strap, they will lay side by side. The other thing I am going to do is to take "fray check" and dab a little on the bottom knot of each beaded string because the knots are not that big. It's a little bit of work but worth the extra insurance to avoid losing beads.

I also recently purchased from them to. I bought a black set. It's pretty sturdy, sparkles, and you can't beat the price for a basic bedlah.
