Has anyone here ordered a custom costume from Bellydance-shop.com? If so , how long did it take to get your order? I placed my order on 30 May 09 and made my payment. I know custom sizes take longer; however, I have not received any response to my emails or feedback and am starting to worry that my order never got to them. Any recommendations?

Call them. You do have your receipt? Was it through paypal? I haven't ordered throught them but I know it has taken as long as 4 months for me to get a custom costume (Dahlal).

It took me 7 months to get a custom costume from Dahlal so timelines can be short and long. Call/Email them.

The costume showed up yesterday evening. No receipt, and the Customs slip listed the contents as "one sample dance costume - a gift. Value $10". Shipped 1 July. Since I never got a response to my previous emails, I don't know if they got my confirmation of receipt. At least it arrived, and fits.

Please call and ask your order.
I bought custom size costume 4 times and I receive within 15 days after placing order. You need to call them.

I spoke several times with customer support. They are so noble and helpful peoples.
I think your problem at cargo company. You can receive more quick if you choose DHL for this company.

I recently placed an order to bellydance-shop.com for a coin bra, skirt, and belt. However I've yet to receive any tracking information or a change in status from processed to shipped! I've tried e-mailing both customer service and the order department with no reply. I've also tried online support to no avail. I placed the order on November 22nd and today is the 30th. After hearing about the quick shipping times they normally have I'm a little worried!

Problem is I move out of my college dorm for winter break the 12th (the package is supposed to be shipped here) and don't have another address as of yet.

Are their packages normally sent without tracking numbers? What's their normal shipping time-frame? Hopefully all these exams are making me worry more than I should!

Did you ever get your items you ordered? If so how long did it take for you to receive them?

I would recommend picking up the phone and calling. I have had a breakdown in communication with them ordering online 2+ years ago, which left me frustrated. But then I changed my mind recently when I had the opportunity to shop on location, where I learned that the store is at the owner's house, and she is working very hard to keep the glittery "beast" (i.e., hundreds of incredible costumes) under control and to make her customers happy. Chances are that the fault is with her email account. I am sure that a quick phone call will be all it takes.

I sent order 3 times and I received within 5 days maximum all orders. (my location is Argentina and I placed last orders 15 days ago)

I think you have problem with comunication and I think everybody received orders. Because I satisfied for all products and service.

They have US based phone number and you can call them. I use this number for help.

For me the customer service was ABYSMAL the worst I've ever seen.

They didn't answer ANY of my mails (nevermind the 9minute answering time that they state it's one big lie) the same goes for their messenger. To top it all the 8 skirts that we received (2 weeks later than what was stated) weren't what we had payed for (not double veiled skirts) they couldn't even be qualified as skirts they were more like pareo type simple skirts attached with a clasp. And since it cost too much to send them back we got stuck with them... wohoo us! ..cr.:

I got my new custom size costumes today (3 pieces) and they are perfect!

They sent my costumes 12 days ago (Because my order is special size.)
My costumes are wonderful! US $158 each and shipping is fee for my order.

I can recommend phone calling support service for questions.

I sent orders for 10-15 costumes for my troupe yearly and no problems with shipping or anything.

Bellydance-shop.com is a safe and fast shop for me. I'm satisfied.

I ordered a custom size purple and gold costume from bellydance-shop.com and got it within the month. It was beautiful and very well made---no loose seams or loss of sequins. I would definitely order from them again.

It's probably a good idea to specify the location of the vendor you mean. There are several with very similar names, unfortunately.

Oops. Sorry. I only know that they are based in Turkey and I differentiate them from the other bellydance shops because they have a dash in the title.

I ordered a costume from bellydance-shop.com a month ago and still haven't received it. I sent emails to them, messages on the website and tried to call them but got no answer. Today I tried to sign in but the site says there is no account on my email address. The 'secure shopping and fast delivery' thing on their website seems to be a big lie to me. I'm sure I will avoid and will never recommend this site to anyone (they also can be found as bellyfun.com and bellydancecostumestore.com).
Is it possible that I will never get my costume?

Wooow... after worrying a lot and posting my comment here I got my costume today :D It fits and I love it :)
