    BellyDanceStore doesnīt answer

    Hi,
    I ordered a costume from the BellyDanceStore.com weeks ago and paid with PayPal. But now I donīt here anything about the costume anymore. I tried to contact her and mailed 3 times. I never got an answer - - - or the costume.

    What else could I do? I canīt call her, because I live in Germany.

    Hi Shirin, is it possible for you to get one of those pre-paid calling cards where you can get cheap phone calls to the US? Maybe you can call them that way?

    I had this problem with her before... I have a costume currently on layaway, so hopefully it doesn't happen again!

    Anyhow, if memory serves me right, I just kept emailing her and send a read receipt. At least that way you know when and if she's read it. Perhaps the emails get lost in her spam filter? It took me a while, but she did respond and I did get the costume.

    I paid for a skirt via paypal two weeks ago, just sent an e-mail yesterday asking when it would arrive, haven't heard anything yet.

    sounds like my problem and Iīm feeling with you... If you phone and ask for your skirt, could you please tell her that I am waiting for an answer, too?!?!?

    I've either had great communication with them, when they got back to me really fast, or shoddy communication where it takes two weeks for something to ship and they never reply. It's a bummer you can't call, thats usually how I resolve things with them.

    I bought a costume with paypal from them recently and sent an email this week to find out when they shipped it. I got an email back in ~1 day saying that there had been a problem and it hadn't shipped yet. While it's annoying that they didn't ship it, at least they responded. I would keep sending them emails. Then, if they don't respond, maybe one of us could call them and ask them to please respond to your emails.

    I often find that when one asks for one's money back, people tend to respond. Don't leave it beyond the paypal refund limits. How ever good a firms reputation is, they can slip and there is no excuse for not answering emails.

    I too recently purchased a costume from Sh...
    I inquired before I sent the $$$ on how long it would take & she stated it would ship within 2 days & she would use Priority Mail 2-3 days...I placed the order 07/27/09, thought it would ship by 07/30/09...I am still waiting for it to be shipped out.

    I have sent several emails, she said she would notify me when it has shipped...Nothing yet!

    Update: 08/03/09- Still no costume...

    Update: 08/06/09- Costume arrived today! Yeah! It is MAUVELOUS DARLINGS! It is a Mumtaz- is this a newer designer? Fantastic & Huge crystal content!!!

    Update 08/13/09: I put a rush order in for another costume this week & got my costume in 5 days! Thanks ladies! (Miranda)

    I am sorry to hear this. I always have fantastic service from them and have never waited more than a day to hear back from them. I hope it all works out

    Hmmm,
    it seems that some people doesnīt have problems to get an answer, but many people have... I found her on ebay yesterday and wrote her - but itīs still the same: no answer.

    When I had a question before my order she aswered very quick.

    I wonīt tell here how I feel.

    This is Miranda from Belly Dance Store. Sorry for the late email reply. We are always very prompt with answering the emails. After I saw your note on Bhuz I was very upset since I had not seen your email so I went searching for it and luckily I found it in the spam emails. This hardly every happens but we have had one or two occasions in the past. But I'm glad we found your email and we did send you a reply, please check your email now. In the future we will be a little bit more conscious that some emails might be going into the spam. If there is anybody else having problems, please email us. This is my full time job to answer emails and if there is some late replies, there is probably a good explaination for it.

    Also, sometimes we get large orders at the same time and shipments get a little bit delayed. But I can assure you, we are here working very hard to get your costumes to you as soon as possible. As you can see, it is Sunday and we are working.

    mine was "sitting at the post office with the wrong postage on." She asked for my address again, was very nice.

    I'm still waiting on a response to two emails from Bellydancestore. They were always VERY good with responding and I think they have excellent customer service, and would definitely shop there again. My most recent purchase was missing a headband that I was told was included. I notified them I could not find the headband in the package. on 7/22 they asked me to check again, they pin them to the skirt. I wrote back on 7/23, nope, no headband at all. The replied on 7/23 that they would look into it, and find out what happened, would be back in touch with me. No response. I sent another email asking if they have discovered anything a week later, on 7/29. Still no response. It's disappointing..

    I received my skirt and veil, but no sleeves, they asked me to look again in the box, I did. Hopefully they will send them soon.

    PM'd you bellydancestore. I'm ready to add my complaint to this thread, but would really rather the situation be corrected, as Sharhzad assured me it would be (but still isn't) when I talked to her 2wks ago.

    Bellydancestore carries several items I'd like to order, but so far I'm not having a good buying experience and at this point I'm not inclined to purchase anything else from you.
