    My Bellas are lost in transit! Have I lost all my $$$?

    My two lovely Bellas are lost in transit - the tracking number is wrong and Bella doesn't seem to have the correct one. She says she is looking into it with the PO but they haven't got back to her and I'm really worried and kinda starting to freak out...if they can't be found, does this mean that I have lost all my money or will Bella re-make them? I'm not sure if she insured them - I was only told that the shipping is X Euros... Has anyone been in this situation before?

    I can't believe this is the first time costumes have ever been lost in the system. I know it's frustrating to have to wait, but I can't believe Bella won't make this situation right for you. Try not to fret and give her time to investigate and get back to you.

    She didn't have these insured? The PO will do an investigation to look for these items. Happened to me many years ago with some tapes I purchased. Sadly, they were never found. Anything that expensive should have been insured.

    Worst nightmare ever!

    Every time I've ordered from Bella the parcels were always insured for the full value of the costumes.

    I really hope they were sent insured post- I was given the shipping cost and just paid it without asking too many questions, as it can take a while to get a reply to emails. I think the PO in Turkey have been investigating it since last week but we haven't heard anything yet. I wonder how long it will take to get an answer from them?

    I am a bit paranoid, as an A'Kai veil I was sent last month disappeared in the mail too, and a t-shirt I ordered from a site in the US also seems to be taking an inordinatately long time to arrive. I am having terrible luck with the mail at the moment!

    my first order from Bella was lost for over a month..I was near hysterics as I never wired away so much cash..Bella was in contact with turkish post office and then all of a sudden at my house was this perfect box with my sparklies..Was such a stressful month

    I hope it arrives soon!! I had an $825 UPS shipment stolen off my front porch on Christmas Eve. It was insured for $750 and UPS still hasn't paid on the claim. It can only go through the shipper and she has had no luck.

    I have had crazy, crazy times with international shipping on occasion -- packages shipped to countries as close as Canada and as far away as Australia have taken very odd routes sometimes. Don't be surprised if it shows up on your doorstep a month late with no explanation or finds its way back to Bella. In the meantime, though, I can't imagine she wouldn't have shipped it with insurance, so you should be covered if the worst happens and it really is lost or stolen. She should have someone there who can look into it for you and file a claim if appropriate. Best of luck!

    It happened to me, she gave me the same response check with us mail and they have the correct tracking number and it was all wrong. It took about 3 months for me to finally get my costumes, and it was two bellas. Just stay on her and your postal service also call customs

    Thanks everyone for your responses, I'm glad that it turned out OK for you all in the end. I hope I'm that lucky too! I tried calling customs and the parcel company again today - still no record of it having arrived into the country. I mailed Bella to see if she'd heard from the PO yet, as it has been over a week, but I haven't heard back from her yet. This week has really dragged - no sign of my A'kai or the other 2 parcels I'm waiting for from Australia and the US yet either :(

    Thanks for this! I put in the barcode I have but it said there was no information - I think the barcode supplied was wrong as it has 14 digits, not 13.

    I wish Bella would get back to me with some news from the PO, I haven't had an update from her at all yet. ..cr.:

    I can't say i blame you for feeling anxious! I'd be upset as well. But hopefully things will work out and you get them soon.

    I would be so upset if that happened to me! Good luck with getting them to pay the insurance. I often wondered how good they were at handling claims. Sounds like they aren't very good.

    A couple of years ago, our UPS driver would deliver our packages to a house on the street behind us and they would just take them and store them in the garage! If we went over and asked them if anything addressed to us had been delivered they would say No!

    I had a cat on a special diet and when his food didn't arrive I called the pet food company and someone from the pet food company did some checking and called UPS. They must have yelled at them because the UPS truck was later seen at their door loading up a lot of packages and it made a stop at our house with several!

    So I checked my calendar, and my costumes were sent just over a month ago now... I've just had to email Bella again to ask for an update, as she hasn't replied to two of my emails now (one from the beginning of last week, one from the end), and I am starting to get really frustrated. I've done all I can from this end, but Customs and the Parcel company can't help me without the correct tracking number, though Parcelforce tried to track it using my postcode and they don't think it has reached the UK yet.

    I'm getting a bit upset now, as when you are talking about THIS much money, is it really too much to ask for a one line email update, even just to say that you are still looking into it? :( I'm kind of losing faith here...

    A month is long from Turkey but it could be stuck in Customs and the disruption to flights also might be a problem.
    Did you pay by credit card?If so check on their procedures if you need to claim.
    I'm sure Bella will get the tracking number sorted and that she has goods insured..she has a high reputation and will not care to lose it.

    Sadly I paid by bank transfer, which is why I am a bit panic-y. I literally have no recourse if Bella can't make it right. If she wasn't such a well respected designer, I would honestly be frantic at this point. It has really made me think that I will only buy my costumes in person from now on - IF they ever arrive, these costumes will have to be unbelievably fabulous to make me forget all this trauma!

    My (non costume) parcel from Australia that was posted just over a week ago made it to me OK, as did a parcel from the US, but the Bellas and my A'kai veil from Hawaii are both still nowhere to be found :(

    My newest Bella got here today. It made it through the war zones in Bangkok without a scratch...I thought it was a small miracle that it made it through a burning city.

    That is amazing! It looks awful from the pictures on the news. (Opps! I meant the TV coverage looks awful, not your Bella!)

    I would think that if this comes to a dispute Bella would need to at least prove that the costume was shipped and delivered, and it sounds like she would not be able to do so for the same reasons you cannot track it..

    I've said this before on other Bella-related posts...I believe Bella does not do a daily check of emails. I've got two emails out to her currently and have to constantly remind myself that she will eventually respond and to remain patient. I completely understand how hard it is - especially considering your circumstances!! Bella is incredibly trust-worthy and professional. She's just not a daily communicator. I've gotten responses a week or so later at times.

    I'm looking at the calendar myself and starting to feel the blood pressure rise. Counting on my new baby getting here in time for BDOY next weekend and so far I do not have confirmation of shipment - although payment was sent over a week ago.

    Just breathe - get ready to call her if necessary - but don't feel prematurely screwed over by the situation. I'm sure she'll help you work it out to your satisfaction.

    I hope so...I could understand a few days delay in response, maybe a week, but it has been 10 DAYS now since she emailed me last to say the PO were looking into it and I haven't heard anything since! I really would have expected somewhat better communication, given the situation... :(
