Thread: Your thoughts on Lost Treasures

I was able to find one reference to this vendor (referring to a cane that was charged but not shipped), but no other comments. I'm thinking of buying a bra/belt set. Any comments on quality and fit?

After fifteen-plus years of successful retail, wholesale and online sales, Ahmed is parting with his established Egyptian import shop: Lost Treasures. At some point in time, I'm sure everyone on this group has either purchased a belly dance costume, hip scarf, cane, hookah, drum or other belly dance supply from Lost Treasures ... or at least walked into the store at 111 Pine Street in down town Seattle to view the inventory or to have a chat with the employees or to post your upcoming events, postcards, business cards, etc.

About 2 or 3 years ago, Ahmed transferred his retail space at 111 Pine Street to Pyramid Imports. But I'm sure most of you remember the days of Pyramid Imports and Lost Treasures directly across the street from one another on Pine. My early memories are that they always seemed to be out-doing one another with their music and incense. :)

Circa 1998, I bought my first professional-style costume from Lost Treasures. Little did I know at the time that the owner and founder (Ahmed) would become my husband ten years later!! *sigh*

In addition to Ahmed's relationship that he's formed with the belly dance community for almost two decades, it's with a nostalgic heart that we announce the sale of Lost Treasures. The sale would include existing inventory, the website, clients, and vendor contact-info, among other details.

It would be great to see Lost Treasures stay within our dance community. Please contact me off-list for more details and for Ahmed's contact info.
