Thread: Sim Bra size - question on ordering

I have been checking out Sim for a while and heard so many good things about them that I have decided to order my first Sim!

Question: Bra size. I am a large C or small D but I usually order a #5 or D cup bra. When I provided this information to Bella, the costume came back and was drop dead beautiful. However the Cup was very deep, more like a Very full DD. Its the first time I had to consider padding!

How are Sims with thier bra sizing? Another point of reference, I have another Turkish bedlah from Topkapi, with a D cup but that one fits like a Dream.

hmm, maybe it depends on the style/era? my sim has shallow cups. well, better to pad up than spill out ;)

i'm not sure, but maybe you could send him the measurements like how we list them on the swap meet? (the inside cup measurements)

Hope this'll help you...when I ordered, I just gave them a measurement of my bust at the fullest and underbust. I also stated a cupsize range example: A cup - AA ..because I'm a small A cup.

Speaking from a small bust point of view.. the cups are not deep..so it's great for small busted ladies..mine, came with padding..which fit perfectly. So just measure yourself accurately and let them do the rest!

Its best to email them directly. They are very particular, because they want to get it right for you. If you have a picture of the exact design you want, that is best. Be specific about your size, they should send you a chart to follow. I would keep the english simple though. Thier email is: simmodaevi@gmail.com. Good luck!!!!

Here in Turkey, cups are bigger ... especially with full-cup style.
Mine is 32C usually, but I may end up with 32B here.

As others mentioned, I think you can just tell him your measurement, and say if you like full-cup or demi-cup style.

I hope I can offer some insight. I have difficulty finding costume bras that fit, so I did a lot of research. What I found:

- The volume of a cup is not the same for each band size. i.e., a 34C has a smaller cup than a 36C. So it's not enough to only give a cup size. You need underbust measurement, bustline measurement, and above bust measurement to get best sizing. I found this site to have a pretty good calculator: Bra Size Calculator

- For each increase in band size, the cup size typically decreases by one. So a 34D has the same cup volume as a 36C.

- The standard method of measuring (underbust and bustline) does not work for small frames and large cups (like 32F / 34E).

Wow that is great, thanks for your input. I will keep this reference.

I think when I custom order, I will just send one of my favorite bras with a fit similar to what I what and just ask them to return it with the costume.

This was very helpful. Thank you! With that calculator though, make sure you have exact measurements. I tried it and it was off by 2 cup sizes. I remeasured very carefully and put the numbers in and then it came up dead on.

I found the same thing. But I also really like the size converter between US / UK etc. especially since I just bought a costume from Cairo. I'm glad you found it helpful.
