I'm really hesitant to post here, but this is my first time ordering from overseas & hope maybe I'm just being nervous/jumpy?

I've sent payment for my costume, got email confirmation it was received & my costume would ship Sunday/Monday. I replied & asked if possible to see a picture before it's boxed to ship (because I'm excited ..g.:). No response. I emailed yesterday (which was 3am Tuesday Cairo time) & asked for confirmation it did go out Monday & for the tracking number. It's now 6:10pm Tuesday Cairo time & so far still no response. I'm feeling really nervous that I've sent $$$ off and now getting no response. I understand Friday/Saturday is a holiday, but I did expect to hear something definitely by Monday my time. Am I just being a nervous nelly?

my friend has ordered 3 costumes from them, no problem. they can be a little slow in replying at times. i wouldnt worry about it :-)

I know how you feel with a first time over seas purchase, but don't worry. Alisa is great and will have your costume to you in no time. I've ordered from them and was very pleased with my costume. Hope that helps to allay your worries!

It does, and I feel embarrassed to post because she is wonderful & everyone who's ordered has been very happy with no complaints or problems at all. Then here comes Nervous Nelly here asking if I should be concerned (about someone with a good reputation).

Her response time has definitely slowed, so maybe she's just really busy. I wouldn't worry. I got my costume yesterday!

It's only natural - the "firsts" in life usually have a little anxiety attached to them. Make sure to post pics!

I ordered a costume from Dahab, and it came over just fine. The costume was lovely and exactly as ordered, and it came even a little faster than I expected.

I don't blame you at all for being nervous, though. This is a great place to ask that question, and Dahab will be pleased with the large number of replies in support of their product and service.

Those of you who've gotten costumes from Dahab, did you just get an email saying when it'd be shipped & then it came in the mail one day, or did you get a tracking# with it? How long was your shipping - I was told it comes by 4 day FedEx. Is it really that quick or does customs hold things up? (I've heard of Bellas getting held up coming into the country).

when i've ordered, it has gotten here within 4-5 days. i wouldn't worry, she's very busy but gets back to you fairly quickly. i would just re-send the e-mail if you're nervous.

I didn't get any confirmation that the item was shipped or a tracking number. However, when I e-mailed her she told me it had shipped and when I could expect it.

HI :) Mone was also shipped out sunday (I hope, she said she would send it then on last thursday)

I also asked her tuesday for a tracking number, but havent heard back.

This is my first custom order too, so Im also nervous :D

My biggest fear is that I have to pay 300 usd in customs, and fees, but she told me that I wouldnt pay taxes, so Im hoping she is right :D Pretty nervous though, Norway is kinda strict on things that cost more that 35 usd :S

Have no idea how she is sending it, if its true that I dont have to pay taxes.

Im shure we will have our costumes tomorrow! :D And I'll show you mine, if you show me yours! :D Now we can be excited together :p

Got a reply today:

"We have *FedEx packages stucked at customs due to regulations and export policy changes. To be able to export our product lawfully we were asked to provide *the export license and pay some extra fees - all packeges will be cleared and realesed tomorrow by FedEx. Once tracking codes are recieved -will *forward yours to you."

So, at least I know what's going on now & that I wont have it to possibly wear this weekend as I'd hoped. But, if it releases tomorrow then I should have it early next week.

Yay!! I also got an email! Got pictures of my pretties too!!! :D :D

I'd asked for a picture but haven't gotten one ,f:: That's ok though, I'll see it when it gets here. Just glad to know what's going on.

Im shure it will be amazing! I think she made another costume very similar to mine, so I dont think it actually was mine I got a picture of :D But it was exactly what I described, down to the bead! :D

Im shure we will be very happy with our costumes! ;) And you HAVE to send me pics of yours! :D

I'm about to place my second order...just need to sit down and think about what I want!

Nervous Nelly got her costume today. It's fabulous. And once the package cleared customs in Cairo I was sent the tracking number. I feel silly now for being so on edge - I'm already thinking what do I want to order next, lol.
