Thread: Is Baladi Boutique still up and running?

Hello everyone,

I was looking to buy a costume from Baladi Boutique, and have been trying for over two months to get in touch with them. I have called and e-mail with no success.

I found out just recently that the reason for this is probably because they lost one of their employees to cancer, which I was very saddened to hear. However, she was the one who took the orders, so now I feel very reticent to contact them in anyway because of the nature of the situation.

I thought I would ask on bhuz if anyone had ideas or advice about what to do. How can I find out if they are still running their business? How should I place an order? Is there anyway I can offer my condolences, but make an order for a costume too? (I don't want to bother them at this sensitive time, but maybe they want the business.)

I am not sure if they are still open. The owner, Shari, passed away recently and it was a family business for the most part. You might want to try contacting her husband, Bobby, by phone. The number is on the main page of the website, but I don't know if they are still taking orders.

They are back up and running.
Festival on the Nile will be in May of 2011.
They are reorganizing and plan on coming back strong!
