Anyone know what's going on with Belly Dance Magazine Welcome To Belly Dance Magazine?

I signed up for a subscription at the beginning of the year and paid through Paypal. Every time I've emailed to ask about when the first issue might show up, there's always some delay and it'll be out in the next month. It's now August and I've seen nothing. My last email has gone unanswered.

You know, come to think of it, I am not so sure that I received the balance of my subscription, although it may have been every other month. Did you ever get yours?

<rant>I never received the two issues of Habibi I was owed years ago when the magazine switched owners and eventually poofed, so I am feeling a little burned on belly dance mags. But I recently decided to give it another try and signed up for Shimmy.

If I get burned again I am swearing off BD Magazine subscriptions for good! I will happily pay per magazine in exchange for the security of knowing I won't pay for a subscription that never gets filled.</rant>

That being said, I would be very interested to see how this magazine is doing. I'm sure starting up a publication like this takes a lot and it's not an overnight process, but I am wary of trusting something like this due to my past experience. If the magazine goes under you may not get your money back.

Also, I forgot to add that if it's been that long maybe you should request your money back. Their website doesn't say anything about being delayed so it's not as if you bought the subscription knowing there would be such a long wait. I would tell them you were not aware it would take over 9 months to receive your first issue and you want to cancel your subscription and will try again later when they are back on schedule. Since you never got an issue you should get all your money back.

I still haven't received anything. I just emailed them again. Maybe I'll get a response this time. I didn't get a response from the last email I sent but have gotten lucky in the past.

I have a subscription to Zahgreet which has been pretty reliable.

I get a copy usually through my local bookstore, I haven't been able to get a copy in a fairly long time.

Also I can't get onto their site. Weird?
