Thread: Troupe Dresses never arrived from Egypt

Who is having trouble receiving their shipments ordered from Egypt?

I ordered 15 dresses, jewelry, hip scarves, the works from bellydancesupplies.spruz.com
The owner was great with communication for 6 months prior to my order, after my order, after payment, and through shipment. But it never shipped out of Egypt. He was still checking daily on my shipment last I heard from him, but now his phone has been disconnected and he doesn't return emails and facebook messages.

I would be quite surprised if this was a scam...he had the right lingo, the right type of measurements charts, fabrics, and knowledge. A friend told me she can't get anything out of Egypt right now. I don't want to jeopardize anyone's relations with Egyptians who need our business....just want to give heads up to dancers ordering troupe costumes you'll count on having for a particular show. Luckily we still have a couple of weeks and have gone into emergency mode to scrounge and make backup costumes. Such a bummer. Most importantly, I hope the vendor is ok.

Oh no, what a nightmare!

I've had two shipments come from Egypt in the last couple of weeks, both remarkably quickly in fact, so there doesn't appear any general delay.

Do you know anyone going over right now? Maybe they can check on your costumes for you
