Thread: Bellydance Flash Mob in Brussels

The worlds First Bellydance Flash Mob!
Brussels, the capital of Europe, is proud to host this initiative!
It all happened on Saturday March 6th in the center of the city.

This event is part of an effort to promote Bellydance as an art form. And is part of the International Raqs Congress activities : The International Raqs congress - Spring 2012

This looks like so much fun!

Not normally one for flashing my dancing out in the open air, that was wonderful. It actually brought tears to my eyes. It was fun but also a very dignified and tasteful example of how many women enjoy belly dancing in the West. Who organised it..so we know..Artemisia..if you are not too busy..any info?

It was organised by Salwa who runs the International Raks Congress in Brussels.

And as I said at the time, it wasn't the first Bellydance flashmob in Europe, because I took part in one in London several months earlier!

LOVE IT! My dance partner and I inadvertently did this practicing for an upcoming show in a park and now are planning on bringing it to public places all around here over the summer

Looks like alot of fun! Love how you added various props of BD - this clearly took a lot of coordination!

I saw this on Youtube a couple of months ago and was really impressed. It was really well done and would have taken a lot of practice. It is a little bit of a pity that it wasn't a bigger space for the audience to see.
