I'm glad i poked around and saw this----Wonderful!!!, good zills, nice musicality w/ the songs, nice coverage of the stage area, light on your feet( no clomping around ), pretty costume. Don't hide your pretty face behind your hair!! Cause your face was relaxed and beautiful! who were/are your teachers? you have done them proud!!!

Re: My first ever performance to live Arabic music!
Thank you! My most influential teachers so far have been Anaheed, Tamra-henna, and Jenna, all in Los Angeles. The bra cover and belt are a fairly inexpensive set I got at the swap meet. I see others just like it all the time at festivals and bazaars. I modified the bra straps from halter style to over the shoulder straps, because A) my boobs are too heavy for behind-the-neck style straps and B) it once untied during a performance!!! Luckily it was a student performance in class and I was wearing a second bra underneath! LOL I fixed that in a hurry. I also modified the back tie to hooks and velcro. The bra is not sturdy and doesn't offer enough coverage alone so I always wear a black hard cup bra under it. Originally it had 2 swags of coins, one under each cup, which made my boobs each look 4 times bigger and did nothing for my figure. Meanwhile the belt had 2 swags in the back that accented my butt in a way that was not nice. So I took a swag off the bra and added it to the back of the belt. The front of the belt is a actually a necklace that is meant to match the set but I wired it onto the belt to extend it and create a front accent piece.

Re: My first ever performance to live Arabic music!
Oh yeah, the hair...
It's gotten much better since I have discovered hairspray, but yeah it does get in the way. Part of the problem is I am partially blind in my left eye and so my hair hanging over it doesn't bother me much. I can't stand wearing hair ornaments but I might have to find a small clip to keep up that front part so it doesn't flop in my face.
I have to say this is the first performance clip ever taken of me that doesn't make me cringe and want to run away when I see it. There are things I can see still need improvement, like my weak right hand (result of arm injury) but overall I am quite pleased with the progress I have made
